Management Team

Daniel Wells, Founder/CEO
Mr. Wells has spent the last 18 years of his career providing technology solutions to solve complex business problems. For that, he has gained knowledge in every area of company operations including distribution, manufacturing, service, sales and marketing, fulfillment and environment, safety & health.

While information technology has been the mainstay of his career, clean energy technologies has become his passion.  As the founder of Umpqua Energy, Inc., Mr. Wells has had the opportunity to perform research and development for hydrogen injection into heavy diesel engine operations over the last eight years. While there are many notable benefits to the technology, the driving force has been witnessing evidence of drastic reductions in HC, CO, PM and NOx emissions.

Since this discovery, Mr. Wells has been a champion for other organizations to adopt hydrogen injection and utilize it in their day-to-day operations.

William Evans, Director
William has directed and managed real estate development, construction administration, building materials supply, and advanced technology businesses in energy conservation, utilities technologies, transportation, building construction systems, communications and education technologies, and water conservation and resources management in Washington, Idaho, and Montana for over 30 years. He has served as Planning Commissioner for Spokane County, where he reviewed, drafted and made recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners regarding the Spokane County Capital Facilities Plan, the Comprehensive Land Use Plan, Waste water Facilities Improvement Plans, and Guidelines for Storm water Control, Zoning Ordinance, Subdivision Ordinance, Critical Area Ordinance, and a host of private residential and commercial development proposals. He has also served on numerous corporate boards and has extensive experience with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as the managing of financing coordination and negotiations for numerous regional projects. Through his Native American heritage, Mr. Evans has been involved with several existing and ongoing Tribal projects and activities throughout Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Canada.

Currently William Evans is the CEO/President of Evans Consulting, Inc (ECI). As President, Mr. Evans performs all management tasks; consulting, purchasing, selling and development of all projects. Over the past few years, ECI has been greatly involved with waste-to-energy projects. This involvement includes consultation, fuel supplies, transportation and disbursement of resources.

Dan Swanson, President
During the last 30 years of Mr. Swanson's career he's been engaged in providing excellent management and leadership for businesses of varying diversity. Through this time he has acquired extensive knowledge in all business aspects of managing manufacturing operations including Maintenance, Environmental Health & Safety, OSHA Regulations, Production Scheduling, Office Administration, Personnel, Shipping and Receiving, Warehousing and Fulfillment Operations, Facilities Management, Hazardous Waste and Air Quality.

Aaron Retzer, In House Corporate Counsel
Mr. Retzer, a chemical engineer and registered patent attorney, was a senior partner in the law firms; Jones, Tullar and Cooper PC, and Epstein, Edell & Retzer PC for over twenty five years. During the last ten years he has been engaged as a legal consultant to evaluate the potential commercialization of evolving technologies through licensing.

Robert D. Weerts, V.P. of Investments and Acquisition
Mr. Weerts is the owner and operator of Weerts Construction, Inc. and Blue Valley Sod, Inc. He is or has been involved in the following committees/organizations - board member of a financial institution, Winnebago City Council member, Turfgrass Producers International Board, Faribault County Futures, South Highway 169 Improvement Association, former President and current board member of Corn Plus, and president of Winnebago Economic Development committee.
