Hydrogen Gas
Hydrogen gas is extremely flammable and
when mixed with oxygen it explodes upon ignition. Pure
hydrogen oxygen (hydroxy) burns in the ultraviolet color range
and is invisible to the naked eye. Hydrogen is the most
abundant element and makes up over 90% of all matter in the
universe by number of atoms.
Hydrogen gas (H2) was first artificially
produced in the late 1400's by mixing strong acids with metals
although it was not documented and officially discovered until nearly
300 years later when Robert Boyle rediscovered the reaction
between iron filings and diluted acids. Henry Cavendish reported
that hydrogen gas was a unique substance and that in 1781 he
discovered that hydrogen gas produces water when
burned.
Hydrogen gas filled balloons were invented in
1783 and the Germans used hydrogen air ships in 1914 and moved
nearly 35,000 passengers without a serious accident. In 1937
the Hindenburg was destroyed in a mid air fire which ended the use
of hydrogen gas for transportation in air ships.
Hydrogen gas is an energy carrier, not a source
of energy. It is like a battery in which energy is consumed to
create and store the hydrogen gas and then energy can be collected
through a fuel cell or combusted in an engine. It costs more
to collect and store hydrogen gas than what can be garnered by its
use.
Many people do not understand how we apply our
technology to net an energy gain as opposed to an energy loss which
hydrogen gas normally causes. Skeptics say that it is
impossible to get more energy out of something than what you put
into it.
In our application of creating and immediately
consuming hydrogen gas, the energy gains come from:
-
Completing the burn of the
vehicle's fuel load
-
Burning the fuel earlier in the combustion
cycle
-
Creating more power in the downward
stroke
Our
application of hydrogen gas applies the following
logic:
-
Create just enough hydrogen gas to complete
the combustion of the fuel load
-
Minimize the amount of amperage drawn by the
hydrogen generator
-
Maximize the operating run time of the
hydrogen generator
-
Minimize the storage of hydrogen
gas
By using hydrogen gas as an additive to assist in the
complete combustion of the vehicle's fuel load, we are able to offer
net energy gains. These gains do not come from the energy that
the hydrogen gas offers, but rather the energy that the gasoline or
diesel that would normally be unburned and exhuasted as PM, HC and
CO emissions.
Our
research indicates that emissions reductions are dramatically
reduced by the following amounts.
|
Emission |
Percent Reduction
|
|
NOx |
Up to 60% |
|
Carbon Monoxide
(CO) |
Up to 100% |
|
Hydrocarbons
(HC) |
Up to 100% |
|
Particulates
(PM) |
Up to 95% |
|
Opacity
(Smoke) |
Up to
70% |
While
there is an energy cost associated with the production of hydrogen
gas, the net energy gain from what would end up as emissions is
greater than the energy input to create the hydrogen gas. By adding our hydrogen generator to create hydrogen gas
on-board your vehicle, you will find a remarkeable improvement in
power, economy and emissions
reductions.

How does this
reduce emissions?
|
Diesel
Hydrogen Injection is the only known technology to
significantly reduce emissions without a fuel
penalty.
(Unlike other emissions
gear)
Diesel Hydrogen Injection offers a
more complete burn of the fuel load. A majority of the
emissions are unspent fuel. Since more of the fuel is
combusted, there are fewer emissions. See the table
below which shows the aproximate amount of emission reduction
you can expect by utilizing our
systems. |
