History of Ceramics

Ceramic coated parts far outperform normal metal parts by providing a harder, stronger, smoother, and less corrosive surface.   The normal coating process is virtually too costly to see any Return on Investment

Xado is the only technology that provides this new surface chemically — for a fraction of the cost, and a large Return on Investment.

Experts have been building and coating engine and drive train parts with ceramics to increase efficiencies of high-performance vehicles with little concern for price. For the first time, with a revolutionary new nano-particle ceramic-metal technology, you are able to economically provide these same performance enhancing features in your vehicles.

Ceramics stand above all other friction reducing and thermal barrier coatings currently being used in combustion chambers. Ceramics have characteristics shared by no other product, providing an unrivaled layer of protection and extended life. Ceramic coatings actually strengthen parts by providing a harder and smoother surface that is stronger in compression. The cured "Cer-Met" provides an integrated layer of material that can withstand far more heat and can actually "move" heat energy inside the combustion chamber increasing the effective oxidation of fuel. Ceramics drastically reduce metal fatigue and provide a very effective corrosion inhibiting film that protects the part against oxidation and imparts excellent chemical resistance that further extends part life.

In many applications price is the most important determinant. But when a low-cost part or an entire engine must be repaired or replaced because of unstoppable wear, looking to slow down or even reverse this wear may be the key to lowering overall costs. The ability to withstand a harsh friction environment, extreme temperatures, and corrosive elements are just a few of a myriad of applications where the coating of metals with ceramics can mean the difference between success and failure. All of this can only work if your Return-on-Investment is recovered quickly and surpassed greatly. This is virtually impossible with manually applied ceramics.

Increased Horsepower, Efficiency, Fuel Economy & Lifespan: Internal engine components are made from dissimilar metals. Due to the lack of metallurgical similarities of these components, they absorb and dissipate heat at different cycling periods. The ability to protect and cool engine internal and external components actually contributes to noticeable horsepower and performance gains. The three major contributors to horsepower gain are heat resistance, friction reduction, and wear protection. Over the years, performance engine builders have been refining the leading edge of horsepower gains while experimenting with ceramic coatings.

Ceramic coatings are used as a barrier between dissimilar metals to reduce friction, which cause heat, creating unwanted wear of internal engine components. By applying ceramic coatings to these dissimilar metal components, it will allow them to interface with one another more uniformly and compatibly.

Nano-Particle Technology

The term "Revitalization" (from Latin "vita" = life) literally means, "returning to life". XADO’s revitalization process is based on unique nano-particle technology unlike anything in the world today. XADO is the leader in nano-particle metal treatment science. XADO's physicochemical processes take place in any metal-to-metal friction zone and will actually transform the metal surfaces, at the atomic level, into a stronger ceramic-metal bond.

XADO hardens the metal's crystal lattice at the surface up to 30 microns. This new hardened surface emulates the properties of pure Ceramic, hence the name Xado (Ceramic-Metal), and will reduce friction up 100-300% XADO will also reduce surface roughness up to 10 times. Unlike typical ceramic coatings that become brittle, the stronger XADO surface is actually an extremely integrated structure inside the metals surface. It is impossible to see where the metal ends and the XADO begins because together they have become a single solid structure that is harder and smoother than the original metal surface, thus reducing friction and internal losses.

One of the phenomena surrounding XADO's incredible nano-particle technology is the fact that "atomic attractors" are also created at the metal's surface. Utilizing the friction energy, these atomic attractors will re-attract the minute metal particles floating around inside the lubrication and attach themselves (micro-weld) back onto the worn part inside the friction zone where it is needed most. This, in turn, is an ongoing rebuilding process that will renew your metal parts and never over-build. To explain - once both surfaces of a friction pair have been transformed to the new Ceramic-Metal structure, the dramatic reduction in friction lowers the energy level to a point where the physiochemical process will no longer be activated. With new mechanisms, adding Xado is like building a custom part every time where tolerances are optimized and performance is enhanced.

XADO's nano-particle technology is completely self-regulating and will keep parts operating much longer in like-new condition.

Xado Revitalizes New & Used Parts

In a brand new engine or mechanism with new oil the mating parts, such as rings and cylinder walls, have specific manufacture and assembly clearances (~10 mkm). However, lubricating oils do completely produce an oil wedge between the parts. So the metal grinds on metal and the wearing process begins from the first minute of engine start up and continues until parts need to be repaired or replaced. On worn parts XADO actually rebuilds and repairs the damaged metal surface to like-new or better-than-new condition. XADO helps with the break-in process and provides part protection better than any other technology in existence today.

Xado is Self-Regulating

The XADO process can continue even after the oil is changed. XADO works only when friction exists, and stops when the friction is nearly gone. Revitalization provides individual adjustment of mating parts, and all rubbing surfaces are coated with a new translucent hardened surface.

Until now, the only solution for an engine overhaul was disassembly and mechanical intrusion, requiring loss of drive time and costly repairs. XADO repairs, revitalizes and restores optimal tolerances between moving parts while driving, or while the mechanism operates; all without down time and disassembly. Moreover, XADO will extend the life of an engine or parts three to five times longer than normal life expectancy. In theory, continued treatment will extend the part life indefinitely.

Machinery & Maintenance

XADO’s Cermet technology (Ceramic-Metal) proves amazing results! XADO’s nano-particle ceramic conditioner technology provides significant benefits in many different worlds of economic activity. The application of XADO in the Industrial Equipment industry significantly saves energy and resources. The incredible return on investment achieved within industrial enterprises.

Revitalization of industrial equipment (for example: compressors, press machines, stamping machines, pumps, machine tools, etc.) typically results in a reduction of energy consumption by an average of 10 to 15%. Not only does XADO restore machinery to like new condition, but it will also improve protection and reliability. XADO gives you the security you demand.

XADO for Industrial Equipment reconditions machinery so there is reduced need for major overhaul, purchasing spare parts, downtime and expensive labor. Simply put, instead of buying or repairing equipment, treat it with XADO and get 15% (on average) utility savings. In addition, along with treating a machine with XADO to reduce energy consumption, equipment life is extended and reliability increased up to 2 to 3 times longer— it's almost like getting a new machine for free!

XADO reconditions and protects a great variety of equipment and the outlay of treating such equipment can be one-hundredth of the repair and/or replacement costs. In short, virtually everything that is subject to excessive wear due to metal-to-metal friction can be restored, revitalized and protected with the amazing XADO technology.

New Assembly / OEM

XADO dramatically helps the break-in process of new parts and mechanisms. Revitalization through this break-in period will strengthen the metal parts while protecting and extending the "like-new" life expectancy. XADO will optimize tolerances of your friction pairs without over-building… it's like getting a custom part every time! , so any oxidation or corrosion is not only cleaned away, but is unable to form after activation. You have one chance to improve and preserve these new assemblies, and XADO provides this opportunity.

XADO's ceramic-metal surface is much harder and smoother than normal manufactured metal parts, in turn, reducing friction dramatically. This reduction in friction not only saves on the parts wear and tear, but makes the entire mechanism or drive-train much more efficient. XADO's new protective layer is the new surface that is now subject to this wear and tear, and not the original metal surface, lasting longer and resisting friction stronger. Your new parts will outlast and outperform all other competitors, hands down.

XADO’s new surface layer is dielectric and provides an important benefit for new assemblies making them highly corrosive resistant. Treating new parts will not only clean existing corrosion but will virtually eliminate oxidation and any future corrosion, both of which are a new part's worst enemy. XADO also neutralizes the radical hydrogen ions that cause metals to become brittle and accelerate damages within the metal's surface. Using XADO on brand-new parts in effect inhibits the beginnings of these highly damaging events.

XADO is also critical for engines and parts that have been overhauled or reconditioned because during a typical re-build you cannot repeat the steps of in-process surface hardening. When boring, an engine for instance, the upper layer that is especially hardened gets removed. Any overhauled part reduces its life expectancy dramatically and the mechanisms never seem to work like new again. XADO can repair and restore these parts and mechanisms without mechanical intrusion.

XADO will also help reduce noise and vibration in new assemblies and can be looked at as an inexpensive solution for many assembly anomalies that can turn into maintenance and repair problems in the future. XADO is an inexpensive addition to any new assembly with benefits far beyond belief giving you the competitive edge you need.

Ships, Tanks, Assault Vehicles, Heavy Equipment...etc.

In 1964, a promising Soviet nuclear physicist, G. Yakovlev, started work on a recently discovered technology. By 1976 he was appointed by Soviet Academy of Science to be a Scientific Advisor to the Russian Navy's Pacific Fleet. There Yakovlev began testing his invention in the engines of the Navy's Battleships and Submarines.

The Soviet Navy doctrine did not allow remote bases for maintenance and repair for military vessels to use during their missions. So, to solve many of the mechanical problems that did arise at sea, the newly developed technology was greatly embraced throughout the Russian Navy. This technology allowed for the maintenance and repair of the engines, gearboxes and pods during normal operations all without disassembly. This was a blessing for the navy mechanics and it allowed the battleships to stay at sea longer without scheduled maintenance at the dock.

Later, this technology was adopted by the entire Russian Submarine Fleet, which not only drastically lengthened the time between service, but also reduced energy consumption, friction, vibration and noise. Obviously, reducing noise was critical for specific applications of the submarine fleet. It has also been applied to submarine hulls as to reduce friction between the metal and water to achieve greater speeds and stealth.

In 1992, after the demise of the former USSR , the highly classified technology became available. Xado acquired this technology and gathered the premium scientists and founders under the same roof to lead this technology's development and its introduction to the world.

Weaponry

The gun barrel and the projectile can be considered a perfect example to show all of the unique capacities of XADO. All the necessary conditions are present for the formation of the XADO coating including; super-high temperatures, friction energy and the interaction of metals of different strengths. We are very encouraged at the progress our XADO for Weaponry has made over the years. XADO’s results are a quick, clear, illustrative, and most importantly, provide a convincing demonstration of the essence of revitalization. In just a few minutes, after firing only several rounds, you are able to observe the amazing results.

XADO for Weaponry works in the barrels of large or small firearms to improve accuracy and power. A bullet or heavy projectiles, traveling through a rifle bore or large barrel represents a friction pair that rubs together for a millisecond of time. Treated with XADO, the heat and chemical bonding literally change the physical properties of the rifle bore, honing it with precision while reducing friction and increasing accuracy. It is truly an amazing phenomenon!

XADO for Weaponry test results of revitalization were examined on different arms; new, worn out, chrome and non-chrome barrels. The expert’s concluded: “XADO has the ability to remarkably improve the accuracy of any rifled weapon fired.

XADO for Weaponry is able to improve the accuracy of a firearm up to 40%. Major results of treatment include: improved projectile accuracy and spin, flatter trajectory, 10 times increased wear resistance and endurance, of the barrel, maximum killing power for a given ammunition, and restoration and protection against wear of the barrel bore surface, restoration of the geometry of the barrel bore.
